Breathtaking sights, delectable food, and irresistible shops are just some of the amazing things Milan has to offer to visitors. Fortunately, that is exactly what the 3AMW was able to enjoy during the first week of February for their final year class trip. Accompanied by Mag. Barbara Knaller-Kasper, Mag. Gabriela Knafl and English Teaching Assistant Joe Sherry, the group got a well rounded experience of Milanese life.
After briefly visiting lovely Verona, nestled in the hills of northern Italy and home to Shakespeare’s masterpiece Romeo and Juliet, the group arrived in Milan and enjoyed a comprehensive tour of Milan’s best sites: Milano Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (the world’s oldest functioning shopping mall!), Teatro Alla Scala and the Castello Sforzesco, to name a few. In between sightseeing, students and teachers alike sipped on delicious cappuccinos while savoring the taste of freshly baked brioches.
Other highlights included a visit to CityLife Mall, a recently opened mall featuring all the glitz and glamour of Milan’s shopping culture as well as a trek to gigantic San Siro football stadium, home to the A.C. Milan club.
